Parents & family will learn and practice skills for responding to common household injuries and accidents. This class will focus on care for 1 to 8 year old children, including how to bandage a wound; methods to support sprains and dislocations; how to respond to poisoning, burns, seizures; as well as a review of how to react to head injuries and allergies! Plan on a very practical,  ”hands on” evening of learning.

How To Raise A Bilingual Child

Presented (in English) by Prof. Simona Montanari, Ph. D., Professor of Language Development and Second Language Acquisition at California State University, Los Angeles. Prof. Montanari is an expert in bilingual/second language development and a mother of two trilingual daughters.

Alexander Technique

This class series for dancers, actors, and performers incorporates body alignment, vocal freedom and emotional connectedness through kinesthetic awareness. With Sharon’s sophisticated hands-on guidance, you will heighten your awareness so that you can easily release interfering and distracting tension. Learning how to be relaxed, present and physically open, you can step outside of your comfort zone and into the unknown with Full Force Freedom.

You will leave with:

  • Practices to calm and ground yourself before auditions and performances
  • A warm up that emphasizes alignment and fine-tuning of your body, breath and voice
  • The ability to stop pushing and allow for a powerful presence and expressive voice
  • Injury prevention techniques
  • Applying alignment, awareness, and release to speaking, physicalizing and relating to your ensemble and audience
